Extra Options
Beyond the full customization that creates every Holland bike, we offer a number of additional options that can personalize your Holland even further.
S and S Coupling™
Also known as a Bicycle Torque Coupling™ (BTC™), S and S Coupling™ is a set of precision titanium lugs that we can install in your Holland titanium or IsoGrid® frame during the build process to allow it to separate and pack for easy transportation. With this system, a full size road bike will fit completely inside a single 26″ x 26″ x 10″ case that travels as regular airline luggage. A Holland bike with BTC™ feels the same as one without and generally weighs less than 12 oz. more.
Oversized Chainstays
When titanium frames first appeared in 1990, 3/4″ diameter chainstays were the norm. We began using 7/8″ diameter chainstays, which gave a noticeable improvement in rear end stiffness, a few years later. New advances in forming techniques allow us now to offer 1″ diameter chainstays for those that want or need a truly rock solid rear end. We make these available in two thicknesses – the 1.000 x .028″ increases torsional stiffness by 28.6% and bending (lateral) stiffness by 23.8% with a 16 g weight reduction; the 1.000 x .035″ monsters add 57.1% torsional stiffness and 51.4% bending stiffness while adding only 30 g in weight.

Replaceable Seat Clamp
If you take your seat post in and out a lot (as a traveling athlete, for example), you may prefer an external clamp – we can even get one for you to take with you as a spare.
Carbon Seat Stays
We can build your Holland frame with carbon seat stays if you want added vibration damping at this critical juncture. In the event of a mishap, carbon seat stays can be replaced easily, a considerable contrast to a molded carbon frame suffering the same mishap.
Internal Di2 Wiring
If you choose to outfit your Holland with Shimano Di2 electronic shifting, we can internally route the cables within the frame during the build process to give your bike smooth, clean lines.
